This is a bud of the Bougainville rose and it looks like this bee wants to get in there just in case there is pollen available.

The bees fly around in search of pollen. Occasionally two go for the same blossom, but they seem to work separately.
Bumble Bee and Late Spider Flower
This was taken in late September and bumble bees were still hard at work collecting pollen. I watched them land on such small delicate blooms like on this spider flower or cleome. Yet they stayed afloat.
