The Indian Robin (Saxicoloides fulicata ) is a species of bird in the Muscicapidae family or flycatcher. It is widespread in the Indian Subcontinent and a year round resident. I was told, quite firmly, that this is a "true" robin unlike our American Robin Redbreast (Turdus migratorius), which is a migratory songbird of the thrush family, and only named after the European Robin because of its reddish-orange breast.
How gorgeous are these swans? Here they are making their way to a nearby field for grain. It is possible they are a mated pair.
It is very difficult to photographically isolate the swans, there are so many of them, and they silently glide away from the viewer. As they are not nesting they are socialable with one another and comfortable with close contact.
