These great cats came right towards us and past us as if we were not there.
Everything on the lioness is the same tawny gold as the grass. The late afternoon sun illuminates her eyes.
Blond maned lion with blood on his muzzle, part of a coalition of two. Both lions were very relaxed and basically laid down and went to sleep. It looked like they were eating a cape buffalo. The carcass was open at the gut and the lions' faces were full of blood. At first I thought the carcass was of a warthog, but it was much too big. I do not know if these were the only lions involved in bringing down the prey.
