This young lioness was grooming herself. I have domestic cats and of course was struck by how familiar her movements were. She still has "baby" spots on her coat.
Although not fully grown and neatly washing her face and paws much the way a domestic tabby might, this young lioness already shows much of her power in the size of her paws and head.
Here is a beautiful young male lion with a scraggly mane just growing in. He is still a part of his mother's pride.
